Sandy Point is about 2.5 hours drive from central Melbourne - the speed course is at Shallow Inlet, just beyond the town

First, take the South Gippsland Freeway/Highway

The traditional route is then via Korumburra, Leongatha  and Fish Creek - recent road improvements have made this drive a little easier and faster

An alternative route is via Wonthaggi, Inverloch and Promontory Views - perhaps a bit slower, but a nice change of scenery
