SPEED WINDSURFING AT SHALLOW INLET
Code of Conduct - Speed windsurfing involves high speeds - any collision could have VERY serious consequences, including DEATH
- Faster windsurfers must stay clear of slower and stationary riders EVEN IF THEY ARE IN YOUR WAY
- Always look behind you before gybing or stopping - and stay clear of anyone following you
- When your fellow windsurfers are on a speed run, help them to achieve the best possible results by staying out of their way
- Eg. stay clear when crossing the speed course – whether heading for the bank, or returning to the top of the course
- Eg. when walking or stationary on the edge of the course, hold your equipment low, securely, and as far off the course as possible
